The artist was in contact throughout, shaping the piece to accommodate an existing socket in my wall and soliciting pictures from me so that he could coordinate the stain with the other wood in my room. This is my favorite mobile work surface. I use it for calligraphy, nail art, planning, organizing my seeds — anything for which I need a flat surface. I like to work by the TV, but the coffee table is so low, it kills my back. This gives me the perfect height boost so I can work and watch without hunching over. Bonus — it’s beautiful, and actually looks good in the living room. I have a smaller table like this for my laptop; I love it, but I really needed something larger to get certain stuff done. This fits an oversized nail mat, all my accessories, a lamp, a small tripod, and the requisite cup of tea! It’s light enough that my 8yo daughter regularly steals it for her zoom classes.

I really like that this one has preset marks on the legs at different heights, so I can quickly be certain I have both sides adjusted to the same height.

The surface is really smooth, and easy to clean with a barely damp cloth.
